この曲は世の中に出た後、２０近いアーティストにサンプリングされてきた。それはこの曲がいかにリスペクトされているかの証明でもある。
5歳の時に、プロのジャズミュージシャンでありヴィブラフォンの第一人者でもあるLionel Hampton(ライオネル・ハンプトン)にマレットをプレゼントされたのをきっかけに、プロのヴィブラフォン奏者になる事を決意した経歴を持つRoy Ayers(ロイ・エアーズ)。ソウルやファンク、ジャズが融合した独自のスタイルは、現在のブラックミュージック、ダンスミュージックシーン、Hip HopやR&Bシーンなどに多大なる影響を与えている。
